Dr Martin Luther King, Jr inspires me to keep going. 'This has impacted me personally because it highlights the importance, that if you want change, you need to become the change. This letter set the stage for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in August 1963, when King delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech.' How has this impacted you personally? 'Dr Martin Luther King, Jr’s “Letter From Birmingham Jail” impacted our society because it emphasized the reality that “Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor it must be demanded by the oppressed.” In my opinion, as King was writing this letter in jail, he was telling his followers, both Black and White, now is the time to stand up for our God-given constitutional rights. How do you think this has impacted society?
